Green Bay's Artisan Bakery & Pantry · Est. Green Bay, WI

We bake by hand,
shop by principle,
and measure our
worth in flour, salt, and time.

Vida Saludable is a bakery and specialty grocer on University Avenue — where sourdough loaves rest for 48 hours, where every olive oil is pressed within the year, and where health is not a label but a practice.

Our Craft

Patience is the
primary ingredient.

Every loaf at Vida Saludable begins with a starter we have tended for years — a living culture of flour and water that demands daily attention. We mix, fold, and wait. No shortcuts. No accelerants. Just time, temperature, and salt.

Our bakery counter rotates with what the season asks for: a dense rye after the autumn harvest, a light semolina flatbread in the heat of summer, a spiced fruit loaf when the days grow short. We bake what is honest.

The grocery side mirrors the same philosophy. Every product on our shelves — from cold-pressed oils to small-batch honey — is something we would keep in our own pantry. If it does not meet that standard, it does not meet our shelf.

What We Offer

From the oven and from the shelf

Two worlds under one roof — bread made by hand each morning, and a curated pantry built to last.

The Bakery

Sourdough boules, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal specialty loaves — all baked from scratch between 5 a.m. and noon. We also prepare savory pastries, tartes, and flatbreads for the counter.

  • 48-hour cold-fermented sourdough
  • Heritage and whole-grain flours
  • Savory pastries and flatbreads daily
  • Pre-order for large gatherings

The Pantry

A thoughtfully assembled grocery selection: small-batch olive oils, raw honey, ancient grains, dried legumes, sea salts, and specialty items that meet our own kitchen standard.

  • Cold-pressed oils from single estates
  • Wisconsin and Midwest producers
  • Whole grains, legumes, and staples
  • Items we would keep at home

About Vida Saludable

A name that means
healthy life —
and a practice that
proves it daily.

Vida Saludable was founded on a simple conviction: that the food we choose each day shapes the life we live. We opened our doors on University Avenue in Green Bay to create a space where that conviction is put into action — through bread made the long way, and pantry goods chosen with care.

"Saludable" speaks to wellness, but we do not mean it in the narrow sense of trends or restrictions. We mean it in the older sense — food that sustains, that honors the land it comes from, and that brings people together at a table.

Every loaf, every jar, every bottle on our shelves is selected by the same standard: would we serve this to our family? If the answer is anything less than yes, we do not stock it.
